NAD + Infusions
NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells that plays a crucial role in metabolism, specifically in the transfer of electrons during the process of cellular respiration. This process generates energy in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is used to fuel the cell's various functions. NAD also plays a role in DNA repair, and regulates the activity of proteins involved in gene expression. Due to its important functions, NAD levels decline as we age and it is also used as a supplement that claimed to have anti-aging benefits, and some researchers are exploring its potential use in the treatment of age-related diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
